The Rt Hon Sajid Javid attended the Fareham Conservatives Annual Dinner on Friday.  His speech to all who attended was the most positive I have heard in a very long time.  He explained in very easy terms why it is important that people vote for the Conservative Party on 12th December.
 

• Get Brexit done by the end of December
• Free up parliament and free the log jam
• Extra funding for the NHS
• Increase number of nurses
• 20,000 more police
• Control immigration
• Investment in our schools
• Income tax, VAT and National Insurance will not be raised
• Invest in public services and infrastructure

He balanced his comments, against Jeremy Corbyn and Nicola Sturgeon’s promise of two more referendums in 2020 on Scotland and Brexit.  Sajid is obviously very passionate about our country and the great future we can enjoy, if Boris Johnson is able to get a majority at the upcoming election. He stated, “we will build a Britain in which everyone has the opportunity to make the most of their talents”. That comment is what the conservative party is all about.  “If you work hard, it matters not how you start in life. If you take responsibility and work hard you can enjoy a good life and liberate yourself from the shackles of the state.

Sajid made it very clear, that in Suella Braverman we have one of the hardest working Members of Parliament at Westminster and she deserves to have our support.  Suella responded to Sajid’s speech and again showed the passion she has for the people of Fareham.

The dinner was a great success and was supported by the Leader of the council Sean Woodward, who thanked Javid for attending the event. The Mayor Pamela Bryant was present, along with many of Fareham’s councillors.  It was also an honour to have so many people who are members of the association in attendance as without them there would not be an association.
