Furzehall Avenue Parking Problem
10th January 2020
I have recently had several residents in Furzehall Avenue contact me regarding parking problems they are experiencing. This problem has occurred as County Council employees are parking there instead of their designated area at Furze Court.
I have asked Hampshire County Council to investigate the situation, with a view to stopping this practice. I expect them to communicate with their staff in the very near and remind them where they are supposed to park.
It is important that this situation stops, as the Avenue was not designed to have so many cars parked on it. Apart from anything else, it creates a safety issue for the residents. We will be doing everything possible to stop people from parking in the Avenue and will also be looking at a permanent solution to the problem.
I will be speaking to as many people as possible in the Avenue in the next few days to ascertain their thoughts and promise to do all I can to help them.
