I had a very informative meeting with Sergeant Michelle Winstanley at Fareham Police on Thursday. It was very refreshing to see that they are very passionate about Fareham and the people who choose to live here. 
We discussed a wide variety of issues, including:
 
Bicycle theft 
Various stages of drug use
Importance of helping young people in the community
Visiting schools
Setting up of advice centres and clubs

The discussions went very well, and it was evident that they share my ideas and will help in any way they can. They also shared with me their ideas and thoughts, gained from their experiences as to how we could make a difference to peoples lives in Fareham. I will be considering all of their comments and another meeting has been planned soon.
 
This meeting was very worthwhile, and I believe a lot of good things will eventually come out of it.
