New Beales Department Store Opens In Fareham

11th November 2019

Fareham East    Fareham Council

On Friday, Beales Department Store opened their latest shop in Fareham shopping centre.  This is a great boost for the town, creating 30 jobs. and gives the centre a much-needed addition.

The store replaces Marks and Spencer who left the site earlier in the year. Over 300 people attended the opening of the store by Mayor Pamela Bryant and owner Tony Brown. The store director Matt Roberts, and Councillor Louise Cubley were also present at the opening to give their support.

Beales have been trading since 1881 and will be selling a wide variety of goods including fashions, electrical equipment, kitchenware and gifts.  Although retail is a challenging market, owner Tony Brown is convinced he has made the correct decision and is looking forward to the store being a great success.

Creating 30 new jobs and acquiring a great store like this just before Christmas, is yet another illustration of the great work the council are doing for the residents Fareham.
