The Conservative Government has time and again come up with enterprising and industrious ideas to help residents sail through these difficult times. As our work dynamics adjust with the changing times, people must adapt and learn new ways of finding and creating new and better job opportunities.
The Lifetime Skills Guarantee will allow adults in England that do not possess an A-level or equivalent qualification, the opportunity to take up a free, fully funded college course. This initiative was set in motion April onwards and with the help of economic support packages and will be beneficial for many.
For those looking forward to a good technical career, this will help equip you with a better industry placement and allow you to have a hands-on job experience before you progress into your profession or further education.
T Levels are new two-year courses which follow GCSEs and are equivalent to 3 A-levels. Launched in September 2020, these courses have been developed in collaboration with employers and businesses so that the content meets the needs of industry and prepares students for work. Each course involves a 45-day industry placement as an essential part, which goes beyond the classroom experience and helps individuals develop relevant industry experience.
Why are T levels important?
Apart from the funding from the Department for Education, Fareham College has invested £1 million to support T Level courses.
The first T Level qualifications available from September are:
The new investments have helped in the development of a simulated nursery environment for the Education and Childcare T Level alongside a state-of-the-art IT suite to support the Digital Production, Design and Development course.
This initiative will go a long way into making individuals work-ready and will provide a high level of technical study that will help them with excellent career opportunities.
