I AM LISTENING…

Victorian Christmas in Fareham

24th November 2019

Fareham East

On Sunday, Fareham Mayor Pamela Bryant turned on the towns Christmas lights.

The event was supported by thousands of people, who brought along their children to enjoy a fantastic day of events. To see families enjoying themselves was very moving and illustrated the strong bond of people in Fareham.

Everyone enjoyed the activities, which included face painting, street performers and rides. There was a variety of market stalls, including crafts plus plenty of food and drink. Santa was an enormous success with everyone and received loud cheers from the crowd.

Entertainment was provided by various local clubs including Fareham Borough Council choir, Igloo Music, South Downe Musical Society, Spinnaker Brass and the Spinnaker Chorus. In addition, local dance group Bodyrox Productions entertained the crowd before the lights were turned on.

This is the kind of event that brings families and the community together and shows the spirit being created by the council.
